APG DAY PASS

All commercial vehicles and visitors are required to obtain a Day Pass and must be processed through the Maryland Gate (Rt. 715) in the Aberdeen Area (AA) and Rt. 24 Gate in the Edgewood Area (EA). These gates will remain the 24-hour access points for APG. Government ID card holders may use these gates at any time.

Day passes will only be valid for the date issued. There will be no multiple day passes permitted. The day passes will be colored coded. A day pass issued for EA will not be valid for AA, nor will an AA pass be valid for EA. Each day, each side of the installation will have a different color pass. Should a visitor need to visit both sides of APG, they will be required to obtain a pass valid for both sides of the installation.

All personnel desiring access to APG via a day pass must possess some form of valid photo ID, i.e. Driver's License, Passport etc. This policy includes vehicle passengers, with the exception of minors. Those without valid photo ID will be denied entrance. Visitors must have a destination on APG to be granted access. A desire to simply "look around" will not permit access to APG.

Those expecting commercial vehicles and/or visitors are highly encouraged to schedule their arrival before or after peak morning traffic hours. Doing so will help minimize morning rush hour gridlock at the visitor gates. There is limited space at these gates and an influx of visitors at peak traffic hours can only serve to significantly delay the workforce from entering APG.

From Baltimore and Washington:
Take I-95 north from the Baltimore Beltway. Merge onto MD Rt. 543 South via exit number 80 toward RIVERSIDE. Head straight on Rt. 543, 1.72 miles to US-40. Take the US-40 ramp RIGHT onto S. PHILADELPHIA BLVD/US-40 E. (2.86 miles). Merge onto MD Rt. 715 E/SHORT LN toward ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND (0.65 miles). MD Rt. 715 E/SHORT LN becomes MARYLAND BLVD.

From Wilmington and Philadelphia:
Take I-95 South to exit 80 (MD Rt. 543, RIVERSIDE). Exit I-95, turn LEFT onto MD Rt. 543 South. Head straight on Rt. 543, 1.72 miles to US-40. Take the US-40 ramp RIGHT onto S. PHILADELPHIA BLVD/US-40 E. (2.86 miles). Merge onto MD Rt. 715 E/SHORT LN toward ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND (0.65 miles). MD Rt. 715 E/SHORT LN becomes MARYLAND BLVD.

Once you reach Aberdeen Proving Ground, you will pass through the Maryland Gate entrance and be on Maryland Blvd. When you come up on the 4th traffic light bear to the right. You will cross over railroad tracks. You will now be on Aberdeen Blvd. Proceed through 4 traffic lights (appx. 1.4 miles) until the road divides. At the "Y", bear to the left until you come to a building with a flagpole (on your right). The building with the flagpole (Bldg. 314) is DTC Headquarters.
